Vision statement of DVD at Central.
DIVINE VISION AND DIRECTION
To listen and understand the spiritual needs of the
young adults in our community,
and under the direction of the Holy Spirit
introduce them to Jesus
so that together we all
grow in our knowledge and understanding of God.
DVD@Central is a meeting of young adults (others welcome) who meet every Sunday following the morning Service and morning tea. Everyone joins in preparing and sharing lunch. On alternate Sundays they watch a selected video of 12 -20 minutes, or a presentation by members of the group, then spend time in discussion about the topic. The meeting is very informal where people gather around tables for coffee, listen to music, play table tennis, then watch the video or listen to the presentation. It is a place where every question is considered important.
On the other Sunday Lunch is still shared then other activities take place such as, beach, surfcating, soccer in the park etc. The activity is largely dependent upon the weather.
Many overseas students attend the group and find the fellowship helpful in their adjustment to Perth.
